銀座HIKOの中村です。
私は今（6月19日）イタリアに
来ています。20代でHIKOに
入社して以来毎年年に2回は
欠かさず来ていたヨーロッパ
でしたが、コロナ禍の影響により
日本を出ることができなくなり、
気が付けば3年半ぶりの旅路と
なりました。
　

今回のブログでは久しぶりの
イタリア出張記「ミラノ編」を
綴ります。

　

I’m Kyoko Nakamura from Ginza HIKO, currently in Italy since June 8th after a three and a half year. In this blog, I’ll share my long-awaited business trip to Italy, starting with the “Milan edition.”

　　

　　

3年半ぶりの出発は、いつも通り
羽田空港からでした。
違いとしては、飛行ルートが
変更されたためにフライト時間が
3時間ほど長くなったことです。

　

　

また、機内食も事前に信仰や
健康状態に合わせてオンラインで
選ぶことができるように。
多様性の時代に合った対応だと
感じます。私はフルーツの
メニューを選びました。

　

After a gap of three and a half years, I departed from Haneda Airport as usual. The only difference was that the flight route had changed, making the flight about three hours longer. Additionally, you could now choose your in-flight meal online in advance, offering a variety of menu options to accommodate different preferences and health conditions, reflecting the diversity of our times. I chose the fruit menu.　

　

　

　

バゲッジロストを避けるべく、
毎回羽田からパリに飛び、
まずは荷物を受け取って空港
近くのホテルに一泊。
今回も翌朝一番のフライトで
パリからミラノに入りました。　

　

To avoid baggage loss, I always fly from Haneda to Paris and stay overnight at a hotel near the airport to retrieve my luggage. This time, I flew from Paris to Milan on the earliest flight the next morning.

　

　
3年半ぶり…という感慨は
意外なほど感じることがなく、
慣れ親しんだいつもの場所に
またいつもと同じように
やってきた、という感覚の
ほうが強かったです。

　

The feeling of “three and a half years” didn’t strike me as much as I expected. It felt more like coming back to the familiar place I’ve always been, just as usual.

　

　 　

　

ZILLIのショールームへ
Visiting ZILLI Showroom

　

　

　

まずは最も取引期間が長いフランスの
ラグジュアリーブランドZILLIの
ショールームを訪問。銀座での特別
イベントのために来日してくれた
Franckさんや、いつもオンラインで
サポートしてくれる初対面の
マリークレールさんなどとお会い
できました。

　

First, I visited the showroom of ZILLI, a luxurious French brand that I have had the longest business relationship with.I had the opportunity to meet Franck, who came to Japan for a special event in Ginza, and Marie-Claire, who always supports me online.

　

　

　

　

その品質を長年熟知しているから
こそ、コロナ禍のこの数年は
ずっとオンラインショールーム
から発注作業を行っていましたが、
やはり実際に商品を手に取って
肌触りや軽さを体感するのが
一番です。ショールームにいた
ほかのスタッフの方々とも意見を
交わしたり情報を交換しつつ
来年の春夏コレクションの注文を
行いました。

While I had been placing orders through the online showroom during the past few years of the pandemic, nothing compares to physically experiencing the feel and lightness of the products firsthand. I discussed and exchanged opinions with other staff members at the showroom, and placed orders for the spring-summer collection next year.

　

　　

テクノモンスター へ
Visiting factory of TecknoMonster

　　

　

世界で初めてカーボンファイバーを
使ったスーツケース作りに成功した
ブランド、TecknoMonster
テクノモンスターの工場にも
久しぶりに行きました。

ランボルギーニやパガーニなどの
スーパーカーや飛行機のパーツ
としても使われるカーボン。

取り扱いが難しく、製品化には
熟練した職人の技と最新の
設備が必要です。

　

I also visited the factory of TecknoMonster, a brand that successfully created suitcases using carbon fiber for the first time in the world. Carbon fiber, which is also used in supercars like Lamborghini and Pagani, as well as aircraft parts, requires skilled craftsmanship and the latest equipment for production due to its challenging handling.

　

　

「紙袋みたいに軽いね！」と御好評の
ソフトカーボンのバッグの製造過程も
見学させて頂きました。以前よりも
知識が増えたからか前回に増して
興味深く、新たな学びもありました。

ミラノでは新しく縁をいただいた
ショップを訪れ、将来に向けた
ミーティングも行いました。

これについては後日詳細を
お伝えします。

　

仕事の話ばかりでは楽しさに
欠けるので、ここからは風景や
食事の写真などを。

　

In Milan, I also visited newly established shops and had meetings for future prospects. I will provide more details about this later. As talking only about work lacks excitement, I will now share some photos of meals and more…

　

先述のブランドZILLIの
ショールームがある建物は
もっとも古い部分で16世紀、
写真に写っている階段の
手すりなどの部分でも18世紀
初頭に作られたのだとか。
その風合いに長い歴史を
感じました。

　

The building where ZILLI showroom is located has the oldest section dating back to the 16th century, while relatively newer features such as the staircase railing were created in the early 18th century.

　

　

　

日本の方が経営しているという
パン屋さん。朝の陽ざしが入って
心地良い空間で朝食を取りました。
カレーパンやあんパンなど日本では
お馴染みのパンもイタリアの方に
とっては珍しいと思います。
お昼には売り切れとなるパンが
多いのだとか。
