本日ご紹介する ウィリアムロッキー
William Lockie は、スコットランド国境の
ホーウィックに本拠を置く会社です。
最古の家族経営の高級ニットウェア
メーカーの 1 つとして知られています。

　

経営陣だけでなく働いている方々も
代々ニット作りをしている職人が
多いとのこと、地元とブランドが
一体となって物づくりの文化と
伝統を守り続けている印象です。

　

n the world of craftsmanship, family-run brands play a significant role in continuing the tradition of creating quality products. Today, we introduce William Lockie, one of the oldest family-run luxury knitwear manufacturers based in Hawick, on the Scottish borders. It’s not just the management; many of the artisans who work there have been in the knitting business for generations. It seems like a true fusion of local community and brand, preserving the culture and tradition of craftsmanship.

　

　

今回ご紹介するショールカラーの
カーディガンは定番モデルで、
ウィリアムロッキーを知るファンには
馴染み深いデザインです。

　

わたくしども銀座HIKOでは一般的な
ウールではなくカシミヤ、しかも
4PLYという贅沢な素材を使い特別な
品として別注しています。

　

今年はこちらのベージュと、
白の2色を作りました。

　

The shawl collar cardigan we are featuring today is a classic model, familiar to fans of William Lockie. At Ginza HIKO, we have specially ordered this not in wool, but in cashmere, and specifically in 4PLY. This year, we have produced it in two colors: beige and white.

　

　

　

4本の糸を撚り合わせて作る4PLYの
ニットは、暖かさはもちろん、
しっかりとした仕上がりで
型崩れしにくいことも魅力。

　

The 4PLY knit, made by twisting four threads together, is not just warm but also boasts a sturdy finish that resists losing its shape.

　

　

高級感のあるクルミ釦（本革）
使用。

　

It features luxurious walnut buttons (made of real leather).　

　

　

襟の部分は身頃２枚分の厚さに
なっており、寒さを感じやすい
首周りをしっかりと包み込みます。

　

The collar is double the thickness of the body, enveloping the neck, a part of the body that often feels cold, in warmth.　

　

　

さらに、一番上のボタンを留めると、
防寒性に優れたウィンドストッパーの
役割となります。

Moreover, fastening the top button turns it into an excellent wind stopper, providing superb protection against the cold.　

　

　

茶系の中にブルーを入れて、
アズーロ エ マローネ (イタリアの
おしゃれな男性たちがよく使う
青と茶の色合わせ)スタイルに
してみました。　

　

Here’s a styling idea. We mixed blue into the brown palette for an Azzurro e Marrone (blue and brown) style, a popular color combination among fashionable Italian men.
