希少なヒマラヤクロコ
美しいグラデーションは
選ばれた個体だけのもの
中央部分が白に近く
両サイドがグレージュ
の色合い。これが
ヒマラヤ と呼ばれる
ワニ革の特徴です。
ワニの品種を指すのでは
なく、このカラーリングが
そう呼ばれています。
The center is nearly white, gradually fading into greige on both sides —
this unique color gradation is the hallmark of what’s known as Himalayan crocodile leather.
It doesn’t refer to the crocodile species, but rather to this distinctive coloration.
このグラデーションは、
染料や顔料で後から加工
して作られているものでは
ないため、個体差が如実に
出ます。
鞣しの工程にもよりますが、
白い部分がくすんでいたり、
グレージュの発色にムラが
あったり強すぎたりして少し
汚れた感じに見えたりも…。

背面いずれも継ぎ目の
無い一枚革仕様。
さらに、クロコの「丸斑」と
「竹斑」が左右対称に
整ったセンター取りです。

中央部分は斑(ふ)が四角く、
端の方にいくと丸い形状になって
いきます。
