At Ginza HIKO, we collaborate with Italy’s Tecknomonster, sending design sketches to develop new models.

Today, we proudly present our latest original creation.

開発のきっかけ　
Development Inspiration

　

こちらのバッグを作るきっかけに
なったのは、お客様の
　

「やっぱりショルダーバッグが
安心なんだよね」

　「身の回りの物を入れる
丁度良いサイズのバッグが
なかなか無いんだよ。」

　

というお声でした。

　

確かに、わたくしどもが普段
揃えておりますバッグも
どちらかというと書類が入る
ようなサイズ感のブリーフ
ケースやトートバッグが中心。

　

This bag was inspired by customer feedback such as:

“I feel more secure with a shoulder bag.”
“It’s hard to find a bag that’s just the right size for my essentials.”

Indeed, most of the bags we usually offer are larger briefcases or totes designed to fit documents.　

　
小さいサイズはこちらの
ミニミニトートがあるものの、
　
「サイズは良いけれど、
斜め掛けできないよね」
　
「特に海外に行く時には
ファスナーで開け閉めする
タイプの方が安心する」
　
と、お客様からご意見を
頂戴していました。

A New Model Inspired by Customer Feedback

と思い立ち早速イタリアに連絡
しました。
　
わたくしのラフなデッサン画を
商品化してくれるのはこちらの
男性。

　

So, we decided to create a new model and quickly reached out to Italy.

This gentleman brought my rough sketches to life.

This is Alessio, the artisan.　

　

　

新しいモデルのバッグを作る
際には、耐久性や使い勝手
など、様々な点をチェック
しつつ試作を繰り返します。
　
　

「そのデザインのままでは
金具の位置のバランスが
悪い」
　
「耐久性を高めるなら
ここにも留め具をつけよう」
　
と、毎回 職人ならではの
視点で改良を加えて
いきます。
　
　
そうして出来上がったのが
今回のバッグです。
　
　

When creating a new bag model, Alessio uses his expertise and craftsmanship to thoroughly check durability, functionality, and other aspects, refining the design through multiple prototypes.

今回追求したのは、
「手帳やスマホ、財布などの
身の回りの物は全て入る
けれど見た目はすっきり」、
「肩にかけても手に持っても
様になるデザイン」でした。　

　

We focused on achieving a design that fits essentials like a notebook, smartphone, and wallet while maintaining a sleek appearance—suitable for both shoulder carry and hand carry.

ショルダーストラップは取り外しが
できるので「旅先では斜め掛け」
といった使い分けが可能です。

　

The detachable shoulder strap allows versatile use, such as wearing it crossbody while traveling.

今回初めて、チョコレート
ブラウンのレザーを選び
ました。モノトーンの
ソフトカーボンとマッチして
上品な印象です。

　

For the first time, we chose chocolate brown leather for the handles and trim, complementing the monotone soft carbon for an elegant look.
　

　

　
内側には撥水・防汚性に
優れたイタリア リモンタ社の
テクニカルナイロンを使用。
　
内部にもファスナーポケット
を付けました。
　

鮮やかなオレンジとの
コントラストが新鮮です。

　

　

The interior features technical nylon from Italy’s Limonta, offering excellent water resistance and stain protection.

A zippered pocket is also included inside, with the vibrant orange contrast adding a fresh touch.

　

ドライカーボンも使用
Dry carbon

　

テクノモンスターといえば
カーボンファイバー。
カーボンファイバーといえば
テクノモンスターです。
　
今回のバッグも本体の素材
はソフトカーボンですが、
金具としてドライカーボンも
使われています。　

　

Tecknomonster is synonymous with carbon fiber, and carbon fiber is synonymous with Tecknomonster.

This bag uses soft carbon for the body and dry carbon for the hardware.

　

　
腐食せず、鉄の10倍の
比強度を誇るドライカーボン
は加工が難しく、こうした
小さなパーツを一つ作るにも
8時間ほどかかります。

　
カーボンがお好きな方が
ご覧になると「お、これは！」
と思わずにっこりされる事も。

　

Dry carbon, resistant to corrosion and ten times stronger than steel by weight, is challenging to process—each small part takes about 8 hours to craft.

Carbon enthusiasts often spot these details and can’t help but smile in appreciation.
