Joe Fnord is a contemporary artist based in Italy and a pioneer of a new artistic genre known as “Tire Track Art.” Renowned for his works inspired by Pirelli tire tracks, his unique style has earned acclaim not only in the art world but also among luxury and automotive brands.

「私のすべてのアート作品の
モチーフにはピレリのタイヤ跡が
使われています。タイヤ跡の
一つひとつは、私たちの人生に
おける記憶や経験を象徴して
います。
人生には良い記憶や経験、
時には悲しいものもあり、
それらは傷跡のように私たちの
歩く道に刻まれたり、時に
風化し消えいくこともあります。
それらがすべて組み合わさり
私たちの人生を形作って
いるのです。」
“All of my artwork features Pirelli tire tracks as its central motif. Each tire track symbolizes the memories and experiences in our lives.
Life is filled with good memories and experiences, but also, at times, sad ones. These can leave marks on the paths we walk, like scars, and sometimes they fade and disappear over time.
All of these elements come together to shape our lives.”

あたって わたくしどもは彼に
様々な質問を送りました。
ジョー氏はそれに答えるボイス
メッセージを送ってくれました。
通り過ぎた場所（過去）
今立っている地点（現在）
そこに刻まれる喜びや痛み、
そしてこれから先の道を
時に立ち止まりながらも
未来へ向けて前進し続ける、
というポジティブなメッセージを
「タイヤの跡」というモチーフで
表現する…
彼が語る言葉を拾い上げ
翻訳に挑戦する中で、
作品への愛情や誇りだけで
なく、それを手にする人や
目にする人の日々がより
良いものになってほしい、
という祈りにも似た想いが
込められていることを感じ
胸を打たれました。
As we prepared this blog post, we sent Joe several questions, to which he kindly responded with voice messages.
Through the motif of “tire tracks,” he expresses a positive message: the joy and pain etched into the places we’ve passed (the past), the point we stand on now (the present), and the path ahead as we continue moving forward, even while occasionally pausing to reflect.
While translating his words, we discovered not only his profound love and pride for his work but also a heartfelt wish—almost like a prayer—that those who own or view his art will find their days enriched. This deeply moved us.
