This exceptional Italian-made dry carbon trolley (carry-on) features hand-painted artwork by Italian artist Joe Fnord, making it a true one-of-a-kind piece.

1978年イタリア トリノに生まれる。
航空業界について学ぶ道に進むも、
クリエイターとしての才覚を発揮。
著名なフォトグラファー モンティ シャドウの
アシスタントを務め、メルセデスなどの
ラグジュアリーブランドとのプレジェクトに
携わる。
創作への意欲の高まりから現在は画家
としての活動に一本化。ロンドンや故郷の
トリノで個展も開催している。

　

Born in 1978 in Turin, Italy, Joe Fnord initially pursued a path in the aviation industry but soon discovered his talent as a creator. He worked as an assistant to renowned photographer Monti Shadow and participated in projects for luxury brands such as Mercedes.

Driven by his growing passion for artistic expression, he eventually dedicated himself entirely to painting. Today, he holds exhibitions in London and his hometown of Turin.
　

　

「トレッド シリーズ」

先日綴ったブログでもご紹介
しておりますが、彼の作品の
多くはある共通したモチーフが
描かれています。

As mentioned in our previous blog post, many of his works feature a common motif.

　

　

　

それは、PIRELLI ピレリの
タイヤ跡。

　

「トレッド シリーズ」と呼ばれる
彼の作品群ではタイヤの跡が

「人生に刻まれた傷跡の
メタファー(隠喩)」 として
描かれています。

　

That motif is the tire tracks of PIRELLI.

In his collection known as the ‘Tread Series,’ these tire marks serve as a metaphor for the scars left by life’s journey.

そこには、　

・人生の軌跡は、まるで
タイヤ跡の様に刻まれていく
　

　
・時間が経つと薄れ、風化
していくが、完全には消えない

　
・時に進み方を変え(＝タイヤを
交換するように)、新しい道を
選ぶこともできる

・あるいは立ち止まり、現在の
状況をじっくり味わう事も
できる

　

この様なメッセージが込められて
おり、「人がどのように人生を
歩むか」という選択を示唆する
と共に「心の痛みや葛藤に
寄り添い、前に進むことに
エールを送り続ける」作品と
なっています。　

Within this motif lies a deeper message:

• Life’s journey is etched into our paths, much like tire tracks on the road.
• Over time, these marks may fade and weather, but they never completely disappear.
• At times, we can change direction—just as we replace tires—and choose a new path.
• Or, we can pause, take in the present moment, and fully embrace where we are.

His works not only suggest the choices we make in navigating life but also offer encouragement, standing by us through our struggles and pain, urging us to keep moving forward.

このトロリーにもそんな彼の
想いが繊細かつ大胆に
表現されています。

　

This trolley also beautifully embodies his vision, blending delicate intricacy with bold expression.

　

　

　
漆黒のドライカーボンに映える
炎を思わせるオレンジ。　

これはアートなので、観る人の
数だけ解釈が存在しますが
たとえばわたくしにはこの
オレンジは太陽の炎のように
見えます。

　

時にじりじりと容赦なく心や
体に照り付ける日差しで
あったり、辛く悲しい夜の後に
必ずやってくる明るい朝の
光のようであったり。

　

生きていく上での厳しさも
優しさも見せてくれる、
そんな印象を受けました。

A fiery orange ignites against the deep black of dry carbon.

As with any work of art, each viewer will interpret it differently. To me, this orange resembles the flames of the sun.

At times, it feels like the relentless heat that bears down on both heart and body, while at other times, it reminds me of the bright morning light that inevitably follows a dark and sorrowful night.

It conveys both the harshness and the kindness of life, offering a profound and multifaceted impression.

キャンパスであれば上から
塗り直すこともできるかと
思いますが、ドライカーボンの
ボディにおいてそれは
不可能。

　

まさに「一発勝負」の緊張感が
あったに違いありません。

On a canvas, one could paint over and refine the work. But on a dry carbon body, that is impossible.

It was undoubtedly a high-stakes, one-shot challenge, capturing the essence of the moment in its purest form.

　　

また、絵の具の混ざり具合が
表情豊かな筆跡からも
この作品が二度と同じものを
描く事が出来ない唯一無二の
存在である事を感じさせます。

Furthermore, the way the paints blend and the expressive brushstrokes make it clear—this piece is truly one of a kind, impossible to recreate exactly the same way again.

一般的に「アート」作品の
多くはどこかに飾って鑑賞
するもの、という感覚ですが
前回のアタッシェケースも
今回のトロリーも、「実際に
日常的に使う事ができる」

サイズではないため飛行機に
お乗りの際にはカウンターでの

Please note that this piece is not carry-on size and must be checked in at the counter when traveling by plane.

誇るドライカーボン製、金具は
アルミ塊からの削り出しという
本格仕様。

Moreover, the body itself is crafted from dry carbon, boasting a tensile strength ten times that of steel, while the hardware is precision-milled from solid aluminum, ensuring an uncompromising level of quality.

The trolley is also equipped with TechnoMonster’s signature wheels, which glide as smoothly as if on ice.
