とお客様にお声をかけて頂く
ことがよくございます。
「ちゃんと休み取ってる？」
「いえ、大みそかと元旦以外は
出勤しています」
というやりとりで「えー！？」と
お客様が驚きの声を
上げられるところまでが
ワンセット。
I often hear customers say, “Whenever I come here, you’re always here.”
When they ask, “Do you ever take days off?” and I reply, “Only on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day,” it usually ends with a surprised, “What!?”
「随分ブラックだなぁ」と
言われることも珍しく
ありません。
「300連勤越えちゃうんでしょ。
よく嫌にならないね」
とも。
そうした時にいつも思うのは、
自分が本当に恵まれている
ということです。
It’s not uncommon for people to say, “That sounds pretty harsh.”
Some even add, “You’ve worked more than 300 days in a row, right? Don’t you ever get tired of it?”
Whenever I hear that, I’m reminded of how fortunate I truly am.
自分たちが「これは」と感動した
名品に囲まれ、作り手の方と
交流できて、お客様とも
楽しいひと時をご一緒させて
頂ける。
それだけでなくスタッフの
日々の成長にも触れる
ことができますし、思いがけぬ
出会いに喜びが溢れることも
あります。
We are surrounded by pieces that truly move us, able to connect with their makers, and to share enjoyable moments with our customers.
Beyond that, we get to witness the daily growth of our staff, and there are times when unexpected encounters fill us with joy.
それは全て、HIKOという
店に立っていればこそ。
All of this is possible only because we stand in a place called HIKO.
労働、と考えれば辛さが
勝る事もあるかもしれませんが
「やりたいこと」が生業である
ことは、連勤を楽しいものに
変えてくれるのです。
昨年も嬉し涙が零れる
ひとときや、やったー！と
両手を挙げて歓声を上げる
場面がいくつもありました。
今年もきっと、そんな幸せな
瞬間がやってくる。
そう信じて、また毎日を
重ねてまいります。
Seen simply as work, it may sometimes feel demanding.
But when what you love becomes your livelihood, even working day after day turns into something joyful.
Last year, there were many moments that brought happy tears, as well as times when we couldn’t help but raise our hands and cheer.
This year, too, I’m sure those moments of happiness will come again.
Believing that, we will continue to show up, day after day.
