テクノモンスターとの出会いは
10年以上前にさかのぼります。

　

熊本に店舗があった頃、
「是非商品を見てもらいたい」
というメールがイタリアから
届きました。

　

東京に行く機会があるので、
熊本まで足を延ばしたい。
話を聞いて貰えないだろうか
　

とのことで。

　

　

Our relationship with TecknoMonster dates back over ten years.

When we had a store in Kumamoto, we received an email from Italy expressing a desire to show us their products.

He was coming to Tokyo and wanted to extend their trip to Kumamoto to discuss potential business.

　

そんな熱意溢れる担当者さんと
実際にお会いし、全く扱った
事が無いジャンルではありました
が、取引をスタートしました。

　

We met with their passionate representative and, although it was a completely new product category for us, we decided to start doing business with them.

　

その後、テクノモンスターの
CEOでありデザイナーでもある
ジャコモ ヴァレンティーニ氏
ともイタリアや東京で何度も
お会いしました。

　

既に日本でも知名度がある
イタリアのバッグブランド
オロビアンコの創業者で、
Made in Italy協会の会長も
務めたジャコモ氏。

　

実は大の日本贔屓で、柔道や
書道を嗜んだり、掛け軸等の
アートも手掛けています。
　

　

世界を股にかけビジネスを
展開 している激務の日々にも
関わらず2016年の3月には
何と熊本にも来てくれました。

　

Since then, we have met numerous times with TecknoMonster’s CEO and designer, Giacomo Valentini, both in Italy and Tokyo. A big fan of Japan, Giacomo visited us in Kumamoto in March 2016 despite his busy schedule.

During his visit, we organized a special order event for our customers,

　

　

　

イタリアで長く修行していた
友人の店にお連れして
食事をしたり

I took him to a restaurant run by a friend who had trained in Italy,

　

　

　

　

日本でも有名な刀剣研磨師
(お客様です)さんの作業場に
ご案内したり

　

　

and even showed him around a famous Japanese sword polishing workshop (a client of ours),

and took him to see Kumamoto Castle…

　

　

　

熊本城を訪れたり…

　

　

3日間充実した熊本滞在を
楽しんでくれました。

　

He thoroughly enjoyed his three-day stay in Kumamoto.　

　

ところが、
その翌月に熊本地震が…

　

　

ジャコモ氏は
「先日会ったばかりのあの
楽しい方々は無事だろうか、
熊本の街は大丈夫だろうか」
と連日いたわりの声を寄せて
くれました。

　

However, the following month, the Kumamoto earthquake struck.

Giacomo was concerned about the well-being of the friendly people he had just met and the city of Kumamoto, sending us messages of sympathy daily.

　

　

　

地震の半年後、
銀座に店を構えた際にも
もちろんすぐお祝いにきて
くれました。

　

いつもお客様にお寛ぎ
頂いているソファやテーブル
も実はジャコモ氏からの
開店祝いです。

　

When we established our store in Ginza, he was quick to congratulate us.　

　

　

　

その後はわたくしどもの店で
スクーデリアやランボルギーニ
ライフなど様々な高級車の
雑誌のインタビューに答えた
こともありました。

　

Later, our store hosted interviews for high-end car magazines like Scuderia and Lamborghini Life.

　

　

　

　

　

イタリア王国の旧王家
サヴォイア家の
エマヌエーレ王子を連れて
ひょっこり来られたことも…
　

「キョウコにはもっと、
色んな世界を見てほしい」
とのことで、後日東京で
開かれたサヴォイア王家の
晩餐会にお招き頂きました。

　

　

We even had a surprise visit from Prince Emanuele of the former Italian royal house of Savoy…

“Kyoko should see more of the world,” he said, and later invited us to a dinner hosted by the Savoy royal family in Tokyo.

　

さて、そんなジャコモ氏から
「日本に行くからね！」と
連絡がまいりまして。
