テクノモンスターの代表であり
デザイナーでもあるジャコモ
ヴァレンティーニ。
　

彼はMade in Italy 協会の会長を
務め、オロビアンコの創業者
としても知られる多才な人物
です。

　

50年以上世界を巡りビジネスを
展開してきたジャコモ氏に
とって、旅先で壊れる
スーツケースや重くて負担が
大きいバッグの存在は
　

「より良い仕事をする上で
マイナスにしかならない」
　

ものでした。

しかし彼の理想である

　

「軽くて、強くて、美しい」

　

バッグは世界に無く…。

無いのであれば自分で
作るしかない。

そう考えた彼は、宇宙航空事業
でも使われる頑強な素材である
ドライカーボン(炭素繊維)を
使ったスーツケースを作る事を
決めたのです。

　

しかしそれは苦難の道でも
ありました。

　

あまたの失敗作が積み上がり
誰もが「そんなものを作ろう
なんてクレイジーだ」と
笑います。

　

　

にもかかわらず、諦める、
という選択肢は彼には
ありませんでした。

　

「世界で最高の一台を」

　

その情熱に突き動かされた仲間も
集まり試行錯誤を重ねてついに
完成したのが、鉄の10倍という
驚異的な比強度を持つボディと
氷上を滑るかのように滑らかに
動く車輪を備えた、
テクノモンスターのコレクション
です。

　

また、ドライカーボンを使った
ハードタイプだけではなく
紙袋のように軽く雨の日も
気軽に使えるソフトタイプの
カーボンを使ったバッグも
作り出しました。

　

Giacomo Valentini, the CEO and designer of Tecknomonster.
He is a versatile figure, known as the president of the Made in Italy Association and the founder of Orobianco.
For Giacomo, who has been traveling the world for over 50 years, suitcases that break and heavy bags are a hindrance to better work.

But his ideal of a “light, strong, and beautiful” bag did not exist in the world.
If it doesn’t exist, I’ll make it myself.

He decided to create a suitcase made of dry carbon, a strong material used in the aerospace industry.
It was a difficult path with many failed attempts, and many laughed at the idea as crazy.
However, giving up was not an option for him.

Driven by the passion for “the best suitcase in the world,”
he and his team finally completed the Tecknomonster collection, featuring a body with ten times the specific strength of steel and wheels that move smoothly like gliding on ice. They also created bags made of soft carbon, as light as a paper bag and perfect for rainy days.

定期的に彼らの工場を訪れ
お客様の声を現場に届ける事を
続けており、昨年6月も今年の
1月もミラノ近郊の工場を訪問
いたしました。

We at GINZA HIKO have built a long-standing relationship of trust
with Giacomo and the Tecknomonster team, and we also create unique limited models that reflect various opinions and requests from our customers.

Regularly visiting their factory is very important
to deliver customer feedback, and we visited the factory near Milan last June and again this January.
